Commercial General Liability Insurance offers the student an in-depth, yet easily understood means of interpreting and applying the commercial general liability (CGL) coverage forms.
The commercial general liability coverage (CGL) form is the principle form used to provide insurance coverage to insureds who need premises and operations liability coverage. There are two versions of the CGL form, an occurrence based form (CG 00 01) and a claims-made form (CG 00 02). Both versions of the CGL form are similarly constructed with the same insuring agreements, exclusions, conditions, and definitions; the main difference between the two forms is the coverage trigger.
