Workers Compensation is largely governed by specific state laws. There is more in common between the states in the area of employer’s liability, as well some of the other sections of the policy.
This session provides a review of coverage and provisions that are common to many policies in most states as well how they relate to some key federal laws. The state portion of this review will focus on The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) policy form, which is used in the majority of states.
The session will concentrate on Parts I, II, and III of the form, as well as the Longshore Harbor Workers Compensation Act and the Jones Act.
